Walk to Fort Greene

On Saturday, my roommate and I walked from Greenpoint to Ft. Greene to recycle some electronics. It was a beautiful cold day.

During the walk, we saw some adorable thin houses and stately old brownstones.

At the end of our journey we strolled through Fort Greene Park. It was the first time for both of us.
This park was huge and so pleasant! There were children sledding & young men snowboarding down the little hills. Fantastic!

Random Snow Storm

I had no idea it was snowing until I stepped outside of my apartment at around 1am. I was off to meet a friend for a chat at Matt Torrey's, in Williamsburg.
This bar was perfect for sitting and watching the snow. The entire side of the bar, facing the street, is made of windows and there are stools that line the entire length.

On my way back to Greenpoint, I spent a little over an hour at McGolrick Park photographing that sparkling pristine snow.
I could not get enough of the footprints in it.

Brooklyn Flea Market

A few Sundays ago, I visited the Brooklyn Flea located in the old Williamsburg Savings Bank.

This building is beautiful... The glittering 63-foot high vaulted ceiling, the ornately carved columns,     the 40-foot tall iron decorated windows, the massive 60-ton vault doors... I could barely pay attention to all the antique and vintage treasures around me.

A few treasures did manage to catch my eye...

(18th century soldier shaped cobalt blue glass bottles.)
(Simple old wooden drill bit case.)

Great Lakes

My friend and I originally planned to attend an art opening but miss-communication lead us to stumble upon this cozy little bar instead. It was called The Great Lakes Bar, located in Park Slop, Brooklyn.

New Year 2011

We had a small New Year's party. It was decorated with streamers and a pinata. There was an array of bubbly, sparkling, golden drinks and festive snacks.
It was a success.
Later that day we all gathered again for Dim Sum at a fantastic restaurant called Golden Unicorn.
